Daydreaming of the beautiful dresses I saw in the windows along Rue Saint Honore, a very "ritzy titzy" street where all the beautiful people shop.  I am not sure where I would actually wear these dresses but I loved them nonetheless.

Reality creeps in as I hear Sophie coughing and Max sneezing and "Ice Age 3" trickling down from the playroom.  The kids are home from school sick and I am sitting in my sweats addressing Christmas cards,  answering emails and phone calls.

Such a challenge to remember that I am still a girl and enjoy looking "fancy" yet the Mommy role beckons too many times at this age.  So I don my uniform of sweats or jeans and a t-shirt and care for my munchkins.

Ooo that first dress is sooo purty! I would never wear it though. *sigh* Life after 40. lol

BTW when I reply to your emails are you getting them? I sent you a long one at one point...although you didn't need to reply I just wanted to make sure it wasn't going in your spam/junk.

Hi Gina,
I could relate so much to your post today that I thought I would shout out a big "hi". You and I like to visit the same blog, Tongue in Cheek, and that's how I found your blog . . .I noticed a comment you posted to Corey and I followed the link!
Now, I enjoy reading your blog (with coffee in hand) after Corey's before I start my day . . .whatever it may be, but always kid directed, of course.
Your family will be doing what I have dreamed of doing . . .moving to Paris . . even if for a little while. I can't tell you how many times I have searched job listings for an American company that has offices in France! I am a born Francophile! It is so interesting to follow your steps and be able to get a small insight into the details of the move. So, thanks for sharing (great pics by the way) and I look forward to reading more of your adventure. I hope you have a very blessed Christmas.
