Dan will be leaving on a business trip soon and he is not happy about it.  He does not want to leave his family in a foreign country.  A new gray hair sprouts on his head everyday just thinking about it.  He has been busy working hard to keep us safe while he is away.

He fixed the windows that did not close securely so the "boogee man" can't come and get us.

He went to the hardware store and bought smoke detectors for the apartment.

My personal favorite, he came home after a long day of work  and installed my curtains in the kitchen for me.

He didn't even look at me funny when I told him that I wanted part of the window uncovered because I like to look up at the sky every now and again.

Oh, I just love this man and the way that he loves his family.  He loves us openly and with passion but he also loves us quietly, the way most men do.  If you are blessed to have a man in your life, look around and see the way he shows you that he loves you.  I bet he is showing it in small ways, add them all up and they are huge.

Don is always doing something or another around the house and then leaving it for me to find. Sometimes it's just something very small; other times it's huge. This past Christmas he really got into the swing of it and then he blamed the ELVES!

Love the curtains but he wouldn't be a man if he hadn't done the fix it and be safe stuff too. What a guy.

Just getting caught up... sorry the kids are adjusting. They will adjust.
Your right, just looking around you can see the love if you know your man enough.
I love the kitchen window, I too have a lamp that stays on all the time on my kitchen counter it makes it so warm and welcoming!
Love to see all that you are encountering!
Hugs, Aprile

My husband had to go to the US within the first month of us relocating to Australia. I remember feeling quite petrified not knowing the sounds of our new house particularly at night. It didn't help when his American colleague accidentally rang our home phone at 4am thinking it was a cell phone number.

I'm sure your time will pass less dramatically. If you get in a pickle at your 4am I will be awake here in Australia! :-)
