We are driving to the coast this weekend to celebrate Mother's Day. 

The French don't celebrate Mother's Day until the end of the month.  Do you think I can get away with celebrating it twice?  Two weekend get-aways?  

I will leave you with a little eye candy.  The peonies are front and center in all the floral shops.  They are standing at attention, some so excited they are bursting with their brilliant colors, other's quite reserved still, holding everything inside.  Trust me, you can't keep everything inside for long, am I right?   Or is that just me??   Let go this weekend and enjoy!!!!

Peonies are my favorites - my grandparents had a ton in their garden when I was a kid. The smell brings me back to old times. :) Have a wonderful Mother's Day Gina!

Have a great Mother's Day, Gina . . .I will think of you Sunday, when I cut some peonies out of my garden for the dinner table. Looking forward to seeing your pictures and experiencing another french location. Hopefully, I'll let go and relax!

I love peonies too but my husband and I fight about whether to put a cage around the peonies. I think the cage ruins them, so at our current house, we have no peonies. Enjoy your day.
