"How can one live in Paris?  It's hell.  I prefer my flowers and this hill that surrounds the Seine to all your noises and nocturnal lights"
~Claude Monet

We visited Giverny yesterday.  Monet's home and garden were peaceful and enchanting and the inspiration of over 500 of the world's most treasured paintings.

I can't wait to share my photographs with you tomorrow.  It was a small dream to walk his inspiring garden.

Gina, I'm so glad you got to go to Monet's Garden. We love it there and visited once when the kids were little and again this spring during our trip to Paris. I hope you visited the gift shop and got some coloring books for the kids to create their own masterpieces!

Yes, I think it would be hell living in Paris. I'm much happier here in chilly Australia chasing the kids around on a cold winters morning to get ready for school....?!

I have always wanted to go to his home in Giverny. I have seen his artwork in the museum in Paris, but I am sure it is more amazing to go to his home to see the inspiration for his work.

The day we went to Monet's was the best of our whole trip for me. We want to go back so bad, so peaceful and beautiful there. I love looking though the pictures of that day, so much beauty.
