"How can one live in Paris? It's hell. I prefer my flowers and this hill that surrounds the Seine to all your noises and nocturnal lights" ~Claude Monet We visited Giverny yesterday. Monet's home and garden were peaceful and enchanting and the inspiration of over 500 of the world's most treasured paintings. I can't wait to share my photographs with you tomorrow. It was a small dream to walk his inspiring garden. CommentsSun, 18 Jul 2010 09:46:13 Gina, I'm so glad you got to go to Monet's Garden. We love it there and visited once when the kids were little and again this spring during our trip to Paris. I hope you visited the gift shop and got some coloring books for the kids to create their own masterpieces! Sun, 18 Jul 2010 14:50:41 Yes, I think it would be hell living in Paris. I'm much happier here in chilly Australia chasing the kids around on a cold winters morning to get ready for school....?! Mon, 19 Jul 2010 05:21:11 I have always wanted to go to his home in Giverny. I have seen his artwork in the museum in Paris, but I am sure it is more amazing to go to his home to see the inspiration for his work. Hillary Mon, 19 Jul 2010 07:39:41 The day we went to Monet's was the best of our whole trip for me. We want to go back so bad, so peaceful and beautiful there. I love looking though the pictures of that day, so much beauty. Leave a Reply |
