Happy 4th of July to my American friends and family.

Enjoy a neighborhood parade, eat a juicy wedge of watermelon, jump in the pool to get the stickies off, embrace family and friends and light a sparkler for me.

I came across this video and was filled with pride for our country.  It is far from perfect but still a wonderful country to call home.   I heart the USA!

As I started your blog, my first thought was gee love the baby pic, but wish you had the one of aunt Sally doing just that, as a baby. Next was watching the video, not only did your grandfather and grandmother on your fathers side come across on the boat, but so did your great grandfather and grandmother on your mothers side, then your grandfather on your mothers side gave his life for our beloved country, you are really a slice of the American Dream. So to our American family in Paris Happy 4th.

Gina, 4th of July is really wierd here this year because it falls on a Sunday. Here in Columbus, they did fireworks on Friday night. Parades were moved to July 3rd to not interfere with church. And everyone has the day off on Monday, July 5 since the 4th was a Sunday. See, it's not traditional at all, so don't feel like you missed a ton. I did eat a burger for you at my brother's house though.
